MENTOR Adult Day Health employee Diana Lozano, Program Director of Mi Casa Es Su Casa Center in Paterson, New Jersey, was recently honored as part of The MENTOR Network’s 15th Annual Ripple of Hope Awards in Boston.

To understand the challenges experienced by elders with medical needs, just ask Jose, a participant at Oasis Adult Day Health Center in Lawrence, Massachusetts.

Lucienne likes being out in the community. She’s benefited from the friendships she’s made at Greater Boston Adult Day Health Center and from the wealth of activities available each day.

A native of St. Petersburg, Russia, Regina has lived in the Boston area since 1992, when she and her family arrived in the United States. Three years ago, she started attending Zabota Adult Day Health Center in Allston, Massachusetts. She had been dealing with health problems, and she worried that her children would have to help her with daily living.

Delia likes to be active. But like many adults, as she got older she developed a number of health problems. Suddenly she was not able to participate in the activities she loves, such as painting, working with plants, and socializing with her neighbors. Managing her health all on her own was difficult, and she worried about being hospitalized. But when she came to Oasis Adult Day Health Center, this all began to change.
